One of the award-winning chefs in Tyrol
After his apprenticeship and several stations in the world's most famous kitchens, Vanderhaeghe and his wife started the project St. Nicolas in the year of 1991. Even though he had only little experience at that time, he managed to receive many awards in the course of time. If you want to enjoy a gourmet experience in a quiet and exquisite setting - then St. Nicolas is certainly a good idea. In the rural municipality of Elverdinge, between Ypres and Furnes, you will receive a charming and friendly welcome from your host. And that is just the beginning of an afternoon or evening of pure gastronomic delight.
Chef Franky Vanderhaeghe always searches for the best ingredients which he uses to prepare some of the best dishes in Franco-Belgian cuisine. Each dish comes with its own modern twist. This chefs prefers simplicity, in order to enhance the true flavor of each product. And on a summer evening time will fly on the cosy terrace overlooking the garden. At St. Nicolas Enjoyment is written with a capital E.
