Ascherhütte Mountain Chalet in Tyrol
The Ascher Hut is located in a wide geologically formed basin beneath the Kübelgrubenkopf area. This mountain hut, situated in Tyrol, was built in 1895 by the Asch alpine mountaineering club of the former Sudetenland and inaugurated in 1896. After the Sudeten Germans’ expulsion from the town of Asch, the members of all the mountaineering clubs from all over Germany got together to continue the hut’s businesses. The Rotpleiskopf is the local mountain at 2,936 metres above sea level, which provides stunning views from the Zugspitze to the Ortler in South Tyrol.
The Ascher Hut is run by Heike Mayrhofer from Imst.
